Vehicle-specific tests

Quality assurance through testing for durable solar components

Unlike static solar applications, solar panels for vehicles have to be carefully engineered to withstand vibration, airstream and adhesion – from design and production to testing procedures. With our extensive laboratory equipment, we test the solar panels for adhesive strength, temperature behavior, vibrations and shocks. This is how we ensure that our solar panels work reliably. Naturally, we take into account the differences between the various vehicles in our solar solutions.

Solar solutions “Made in Germany”. We produce highly automated in Germany, which is why the O.Motion series is optimized for standard sizes. We also offer customized solutions within the OPES Group. Our aim is to enable solar applications wherever they are needed.

O.Motion Solar Panels

Reliable solar energy, harvested by vehicle-specific solar panels.

OPES Charging Unit

For charging high-voltage batteries (400V- 850V) or 12/24 V batteries and for increasing the yield of solar panels.

Battery system

For storing self-generated energy for cooling systems, hoteling in the driver’s cab during breaks and supplying other consumers.

Solar Kit for 12/24V systems

A system-optimized retrofit kit including charge controller and cable set that supplies sufficient power for the electrical consumers in the driver’s cab.

Highest yield with partial shading
With our cell connection, only the cells that are exposed to partial shading work less. The current flows around the shaded areas. Up to 90% more energy yield compared to conventional solar panels with partial shading of the module area.
Highest power density

Our solar panels achieve maximum energy yield due to the innovative matrix technology. With this connectivity, the surface is optimally utilized with solar cells. Compared to conventional solar panels, O.Motion modules achieve a higher power density on the same surface area.

High Durability
Resistance to vibrations is a key factor in the longer service life of our flexible solar panels compared to conventional flexible solar panels. In the O.Motion series, the cells are connected as a matrix and a significantly larger bonding surface.
